Padre Island allows beach driving and parking for cars once you get a permit sold at gas stations for $12.

Bonfires with wood available at HEB and IGA groceries are allowed once they are covered after digging a hole in the sand for your wood to burn.

Some beaches allow campers overnight. RV Rentals CC can supply a rental RV to camp a few days on secluded spots.

Our Hidden Padre Island Gem is the National Seashore. Admission is $10 . it is a National Park with Picknick Tables, Showers and changing rooms. A huge beach with no cars allowed so kids can enjoy flying kites and running. A park service area with an informative display about our Coast and wildlife. A must see just a few mile down Park 22 towards Malaquite Beach

  • On Padre Island there is the Wyndham Hotel Beachside, Holiday Inn, and Hawthorn. Resort stays at the beachfront are Island House Resort, and a few others all off of Windward Drive near Whitecap Beach. Also Padre Escapes Rentals has both beachfront and Canal rentals on the Island.

    Off of Park 22 on Padre Island by Encantada is Nueces County Bali Park with RV rental Lots and hook up. A huge camping area that allows pets and is steps away from the beach and Bob Hall Pier

    A short drive down Commodore Blvd is Mustang Island Beach State Park and RV Rental lots are located there also private Lively Beach Condos

  • Want to Fish off a pier or at the beach?

    You must have a Texas Fishing License available at Academy Sports on SPID. OR online at Texas Parks and Wildlife-$15 for a one day at TWPD.com

  • Clem’s Marina, Marker 37 Marina piers and Surf fishing near JP Luby beach Mustang Island.

  • Packery Jetty- A place to fish and see turtles

  • Do not forget to protect our beaches- all over you will see yellow bags for beach clean up.

  • It is illegal to touch the turtles and when fishing please know the fishing season limits.
